I enjoy the freedom in drawing out Shorebirds as each one is different.

My pen sweeps across the paper as if waving to their place at the shore. It makes me smile to see their expression unfold. They strut, preen and go about their lives, the simple line drawing leaves no debate, giving each bird a presence. - RW

Rod Whaley, graduate of Florida Atlantic University, experienced in television and video production, free lance and professional photography, graphic design and illustration. His work creating pen and ink drawing for the Boeing Company served him well as he discovered the tidal pools and shorebirds of the Oregon Coast.
